How to streamline your hiring process with Morgen
Anyone who has been part of a hiring process knows all too well how time consuming it can be - coordinating interviews and follow-ups, engaging colleagues throughout the process, and closing all feedback loops quickly is a lot to say the least.
We talked with Auria Heanley, co-founder of Oriel Partners recruiting firm, about how she uses Morgen to streamline her recruitment workflows, stay on top of each task, and ultimately, save time.
Here are her top 5 tips for how she relies on Morgen throughout the recruiting and hiring process.
5 ways Morgen can simplify hiring
1. Book interviews using customizable scheduling links
Scheduling interviews with qualified candidates is a real test of coordination, and in the past, often meant a long chain of emails volleying possible times back and forth. When you create a unique scheduling link for each candidate, you can simply select blocks of time from your calendar that they can choose from and book directly.
Morgen will only show times that are available in your calendar, so even as your schedule changes, Morgen will only offer slots that are still available.
Plus, Morgen is integrated with your virtual conferencing tools, so conferencing links will automatically be included in the meeting invite once scheduled.
2. Personalized Booking Pages
Every Morgen account includes a personal booking page that you can customize, share, and even embed into your job boards. This is especially great for first round interviews when you have many candidates to schedule and a standardized length of time and event description. Candidates can then pick a time that works for them and view available times in their timezone to reduce any timezone scheduling miscommunications.
Don't worry: Morgen's personal booking pages are not indexed, so only people you share your page with can book your time.
3. Check Your Colleagues' Availability
I often invite colleagues to interview candidates at different stages in the pipeline. It makes it a lot easier that I see when they are available in Morgen, rather than needing to send a Slack to find out what times work best.
I do my best to pick times that are helpful and love that Morgen flags optimal times for my colleagues, not only highlighting when they're available, but also when an interview should be scheduled to avoid fragmenting their time into small unproductive chunks.
4. Task Management in Your Calendar
Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring are task-intensive processes. I like that my to-do list sits alongside my calendar, so it’s easy to see what’s coming up and to schedule time sensitive tasks.
I drag and drop those to-dos from my task list into my calendar, and for recurrent tasks, set a recurring pattern. And if you miss a scheduled task, no worries; Morgen will highlight it at the top of the taskbar, as a reminder.
5. Automated Reminders
It's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day demands of recruiting and interviewing, which can cause you to forget scheduled interviews or tasks.
Morgen's reminders for upcoming interviews and scheduled tasks are just what I need to always be on time and ready for the next thing.
